The Try the Terrain Wizard links to the Terrain Wizard developed by Catchment Simulations Solutions (internet access dependent).
The Terrain Wizard is a web-based product that creates raster and vector datasets for any region in Australia. It is based on the NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) 3 arc second DEMs and water body layers. It also includes SRTM30 DEMs as well as Geosciences Australia's drainage layer, catchment boundaries and road / rail networks. Terrain Wizard includes algorithms to resample, reproject and merge the data to create a DEM and related vector layers (including lakes, oceans and streams) for any part of Australia in any projection at any resolution. This data may be saved directly as a CatchmentSIM project or in common interchange formats (ASCII GRID / Shapefiles / MID/MIF) for importing into other applications.
