The Reset Existing DEM menu item creates a new blank DEM (i.e., a DEM with no elevations assigned).  In order to use this menu item, a DEM must have previously been setup using the Setup Blank DEM menu item.  The characteristics (i.e., DEM extent, number of rows and columns etc) of the original DEM will be preserved. Any grid layers that were previously developed will be retained.
