The CSIM Streams submenu provides options for adding CatchmentSIM stream segments as outlets. To use this tool you should have previously generated streams using Generate Streams. This tool does not work with imported GIS streams.

Add Stream as Outlet

After selecting this option you can click on a particular stream segment and it will ask you to confirm your selection by highlighting the stream in red. After clicking 'Yes' a pixel at the downstream end of the stream will be added as an outlet. You will then be prompted to Process the DEM so the associated subcatchment boundary can be mapped.

Add All End Streams As Outlets

This option will add all stream segments without a downstream connection as outlets.

Add All Streams As Outlets

This option will add all stream segments as outlets.

Add Ocean Coastline As Outlets

This option will incorporate the entire coastline (as defined by an ocean polygon) as a single, continuous outlet. An ocean polygon vector layer must first have been added to the CatchmentSIM project in order for this to work.  The coastline outlet can subsequently be subdivided using the Subcatchments >> Edit Subcatchments >> Edit Subcatchment Outlet Pixels.  For example, this can be useful for subdividing the coastline into different outlets representing coastal and riverine catchments.
